Send Transactional Emails to Clients Despite Bulk Opt-Out

This new status allows Ontraport users to always be able to email their customers regarding an existing customer relationship after they opted out of bulk email. These emails include: messages that deliver a product, an invoice (single and recurring), a request for payment from a purchase or other transactional emails related to an existing client relationship.

These two changes allow this to be possible:

  1. Bulk email status changes from “Opt Out” to “Transactional Only,” making it visually clear that a contact can still receive an email if they have opted out of bulk email.
  2. A “Transactional Email” checkbox has been added in Ontraport Email settings and the Legacy HTML email editor. If the “Transactional Email” checkbox is checked and the recipient’s bulk email status is “Transactional Only,” the email will be sent.

Merge Contacts Update

We fixed an issue that may have caused the timezone field to update on merged duplicate contacts.

Custom Objects Update

We fixed an issue that may have caused forms created via workflow from form settings to be saved under contacts instead of the object.

Display Update

We fixed an issue that caused the “insert field” and “cancel” buttons in the merge field formatter for date fields to be switched.
