IMPORTANT
If people opt-in to receive messages on your website, you must include:

  • A link to the page where you collect SMS numbers.
  • The page/form must state “message and data rates may apply”.
  • The opt-in page must include links to your terms of service and a privacy policy.
    • Your privacy policy must include a statement of non-sharing for mobile numbers, message frequency, and a “message and data rates may apply” disclosure.
    • Example: By providing your mobile number, you give us consent to receive text messages and notifications for informational and promotional purposes. The frequency of messages may vary depending on your interactions with our website. Standard message and data rates may apply.
  • If people opt-in by texting one of your numbers, include the opt-in message and opt-in keywords.
  • If people opt in via your website and/or by text, include all of the information above.
  • Note: For compliance purposes, you must include an SMS consent checkbox on your SMS opt-in forms.
