Admin portal

Welcome to the admin portal — your command center for effortlessly managing your business systems! With this powerful tool, you and your team can seamlessly handle administrative tasks without having to log in to Ontraport.

You can:

  • View your membership site from your members’ perspective, allowing efficient support.
  • Search your members and interface with them.
  • Easily make changes to members’ accounts, such as updating their contact information or uploading a document for them.
How it works

Your admin portal is your membership site with added administrative functionality and tools. You get to this page by logging in through your membership site page, rather than logging in to your Ontraport account.

Once you log in, it looks very similar to what your customers will see, but you’ll see a yellow and red “Admin tools” block at the top of the page. This block is hidden from your regular site members.

From the admin portal, you can access all the systems connected to your membership site that your members can access.

You’ll also see a searchable list of all your members. When you click into a specific contact, you can see exactly what they see in their membership site – and make any changes as needed. For example, if your member asks you to make a change to their profile, you can edit it right there.

How to use and customize your system

Step 1: Click here to go to your marketing website system. Copy the URL from your “Marketing Website: Home” page and paste that into your browser.

Step 2: On that page, click LOG IN in the top right corner.

  • If you’re logging in for the first time, enter siteadmin@example.com as your email, and password123 as your password, log in to your membership site, and continue to step 3.
  • If you’ve already set a custom username and password, log in using your saved credentials.

Step 3: In the yellow ADMIN PORTAL block, click Edit your profile.

  • From here, you can replace the example administrator’s information with your own, including your email address, name, contact information, profile image, etc.
  • Click Submit changes when you’re done.

Step 4: Click on the Security & privacy tab to change your password.

  • Click Change password.
  • Enter “password123” as the current password.
  • Enter your new password.
  • Click Save password.

Step 5: Explore your admin portal!

  • In the Manage contacts section, you’ll see example contacts in your account. Under each contact’s name and contact information, you’ll see the systems they have access to with their membership site. (You can delete example contacts after you have familiarized yourself with the system.)
  • Click into any one of the systems, such as “Documents,” “Assignments,” or “Notes” to view that system from your members’ perspective. From there, you can edit details and submit forms, depending upon the system’s capabilities.
  • You can send messages to your members through the message center.
  • For information on how to use each individual system, refer to that system’s education page from the education home page.

Step 5 (Optional): Grant other team members admin portal access.

  • Navigate to their contact record, or create a new contact record for them.
  • Add the tag “Admin portal” to their contact record.
  • Grant your team member access to the membership site.
  • Your team members can now access the admin portal!
