The Ontraport way
We have come a long way since our humble beginnings, when three guys hunkered down in a yurt with spotty internet connection in Santa Barbara, California, to build a software that our founder, Landon Ray, needed to run his startup.
Frustrated that he’d been unable to find the right solution for his business and marketing needs, and fed up with juggling dozens of software apps, he decided to build one himself. Little did he know that the mission to solve his own entrepreneurial needs would become a much larger vision to solve those needs for all businesses.

But the ride had only just begun once the early version of the software was on the market.

The trio realized that what the market demanded was a paradox that’s really hard to achieve: power and simplicity. At the time, most tools out there were either single-point solutions or epic suites that were complicated to use. To that end, they knew they had to build a platform that served the entrepreneurial community with the same kind of elegant simplicity that’s demonstrated by the iPhone.
