It’s important to make sure your business data is safe and secure — even when you’re working from your phone. In this video, I’ll give you a quick overview of managing security settings for your Ontraport mobile app.

The mobile app uses IP restrictions to keep your account secure, just like the desktop version. That means other users can log in to your Ontraport account through the mobile app — but only if you give them permission first. It’s easy to give access to certain users, or take it away with a couple of taps if need be. Here’s how it works.

When users log in to your account for the first time on their phone, Ontraport creates a new mobile connection for them. That’s what gives you control over who can access Ontraport through the mobile app and who can’t.

In your Ontraport account, it’s easy to monitor who’s logging in where. Just go to your Administration settings, then security, then mobile connections. You’ll see a list of all the different devices that have logged in to your account.

If you want to remove access so somebody can no longer log in through the mobile app, find their connection on this list. Select them, click Disable, and you’re good to go.

That’s it! Super simple. This will come in handy if, for example, someone leaves your team and you need to remove their access to your account.

If that person tries to log back in after you disable their connection, they’ll get an email explaining what’s going on. If they need to get back into the account, there’s a button they can push in that email to request access again. You’ll be notified with a message letting you know who wants access, along with instructions to re-enable them if you want to.

There you go! Now that you know how to manage user access, your mobile security will be a breeze to handle. To keep learning about the mobile app, check out the other videos in the series.
