One of the many cool things about Ontraport is that you can share pages you designed with others.

Maybe you want to share them with specific Ontraport users or with everyone in the public marketplace, where you can offer them up for free or make a few bucks.

And, if you work in multiple Ontraport accounts or consult other Ontraport users, using the sharing features lets you share your page templates across accounts.

I’ll show you how to do all these things in three simple steps:

  1. We’ll create a profile,
  2. share your content and then
  3. manage your shared content.

So let’s jump right in and create a profile.

This is the first thing you’ll do if you’re going to share your templates with the whole Ontraport user base in the Marketplace. If you want to share privately with one or two other account holders, you can skip this step.

Creating a profile gives other users more info about you and your company when viewing your shared content.

Go to “Your account,” then click “Administration.”

Next, hit “Ontraport Marketplace,” and then “Profile Manager.”

Go ahead and add your information here. The details you include here will show up in the “Author” section on the Ontraport Marketplace.

Make sure you add a working Paypal address because this is how you’ll be paid if you decide to charge for your templates.

Next we’ll Share your content.

Decide if you want to share your page with all Ontraport users or with specific people.

Sharing it with all users will put your page in the Marketplace, which is where other users can pick out a template when they create a new page.

But if you want to share your page with individual users, you have a few different options for getting it to the right people.

Let’s head to the page you want to make public.

To share your page with all users and add it to the marketplace, click the “Share this template” button in the upper right-hand corner. Click “Share with all users.”

Again, you can share your template for free or charge for it. When you sell a template on the Marketplace, you’ll earn 90% of your template’s price. Not bad, right?

Now fill in the name, description and category for your page.

Click “Share Page.” You’ll see a “Submitted for approval” pop-up that lets you know that your page will be reviewed by our team over the next few days.

The review team looks for a few things. Pages get rejected for promoting your business or just being generally low-quality. Low-quality pages may have design flaws, or might be using the features incorrectly. They may be too similar to other templates in the Marketplace — or they just might not look great.

When your page is approved, you’ll see it in your “Content Manager,” which we’ll talk about in a second.

Alright, next I’ll show you how to share your page privately with specific Ontraport users.

From your page editor, click the “Share this template” button and then “Share with individual users.”

Fill in the name, description and category for your page, then choose which individual sharing option you want to use.

There are three different ways to share pages with specific users:

The first is “Anyone with link.” This option creates a link for you to share your page. Click “Generate link” to make your link appear.

When another user clicks on the link, your page will show up in the “Shared with me” section of their template marketplace.

The second option you have is “Specific users.” This option is a great way to share your page if you have the email address for the account owner you want to share it with.

Click “Invite,” and then add the email addresses you want to send your template to. Add a message if you’d like and click “Send.”

And last, you can share your page with “Anyone who has purchased or subscribed to my product.” This is a good way to sell your templates to individual users without putting them in the public Marketplace. You may want to do this if your templates are for a specific niche, for example, or only for your own customers.

Click “Share landing page.”

If you’re planning to charge for your page, you’ll need to create a product and an order form to sell it. Then, the buyer will need to use their Ontraport login email to checkout on your order form.

Moving on to step three — Manage your shared content.

After you’ve shared your content, check in on how your pages are performing or stop sharing them at any time. From your “Content Manager,” you’ll see how many times your page has been used and how much you’ve earned by selling your pages.

To get there, go to “Your account,” then click “Administration.” Next, go to “Ontraport Marketplace” and then “Content Manager.”

Click on the column editor on the far right of your screen to choose what info you want to display.

To stop sharing your page, just select it and click “Stop Sharing” in the top action bar, and click “Okay.”

Outro/Conclusion (talent on-camera):

Awesome! You’ve just learned how to share pages you create in your own account and with other Ontraport users. To do the same thing with automations, you’ll follow this same process.

If you haven’t checked them out yet, make sure to watch the “Building an Ontraport page” and “Page elements” videos. You'll be building and sharing your pages in no time!
