As retired federal employees and military veterans, Conan Bruce and Jerry Haran saw a critical gap: There wasn’t enough support for managing Thrift Savings Plans (TSPs) — the federal government's equivalent of a 401(k). Motivated to close that gap, they launched Grow My TSP.
What started as a PDF newsletter and an email list has since grown into a robust financial education program — complete with a 60-lesson online membership course, real-time SMS alerts for market activity, personalized retirement plans delivered through private online portals and more.
Much of this was made possible by the team’s switch to Ontraport in 2020.
Since then, the Virginia-based company has seen a 40x increase in paid subscribers and 328% revenue growth.

Grow My TSP plans to double their subscriber base within the next two years, with Ontraport central to their expansion strategy. They also aim to transition customer support from Zendesk to Ontraport, fully embracing the platform as their Customer Experience Automation (CXA) solution.
